Jake was with his former owner for 11 years. He protected her, loved her, and kept her company in her retirement. When she collapsed, Jake stayed with her until the Fire Department came, for 24 hours. During the last month he has seen a number of changes in his life, and has taken them in stride, but he wants someone to love, you can tell. He has a job to do in someone’s life, and he would like the chance to show how great he is.
While he was with us he rode beautifully in the car, loved the window open a little to enjoy a breeze on his face. He slept with his head on my lap, and when we arrived he waited patiently to be lifted out of the car.
Jake also enjoys long walks and just being by your side at the end of a busy day. All he needs is a home that is warm, a person that will let him take care of them and a soft place to sleep on. In return, Jake will be your best friend for years.
He is not a tall Springer, he’s very active and youthful, and he has been well cared for. He is very healthy. He is up on all his shots, license, and has had his teeth cleaned regularly. He is at his best when he is a single dog, gets along with a female. He was the king of his castle and clearly enjoyed that role. His favorite spot was next to my chair at the computer on his little bed. He is a typical Velcro Springer.
When he saw the snow he jumped and played in it. He is a very happy dog and really just needs a new forever home to love him. He is really worth it.
