Senior Spaniel Rescue Online Adoption Form

Thank you for considering a Rescue senior Spaniel. Rescue Springer Spaniels are extremely loving and intelligent dogs looking for a caring home to give them a second start at life. Seniors have a lot of life left in them and they have the added nature of being calm confident companions.

The following adoption application will help us determine the particulars you are looking for in a dog, but also to which Senior Spaniel Rescue member nearest you to forward your adoption inquiry.

Adoption applications will be required. Foster dogs placed are spayed and neutered and current with vaccinations.. We do ask that if you adopt a dog through our referral program, you make a tax-deductible donation to help us continue to care for other Springers who need assistance when found to be unwanted, abandoned, and abused.

When meeting a rescue dog, please try to spend as much time as possible with the dog to evaluate compatibility before making the decision to adopt. If you consider an interstate adoption, please discuss the dog's temperament, health, and transportation options very thoroughly with the shelter or foster home before making the decision to adopt the dog. In the best interest of yourself, your family, and the rescue dog, please make certain that the dog you choose to adopt is the right dog for you. Adoption is a big commitment!

It should be understood that applications for adopting a Springer through Senior Spaniel Rescue, Inc. are subject to acceptance based on a review process that may require collecting information from an application, phone interview, vet and/or personal reference check, and possibly a home visit. Making decisions about dog placement in adoptive homes is an "art", not a "science", and there might be times when applications will be denied for various reason(s). This is left to the discretion of the Senior Spaniel Rescue, Inc coordinator after reviewing all available information. Senior Spaniel Rescue, Inc reserves the right to make all decisions regarding placement or final disposition of any rescued dog in its care into a foster or adoptive home. There is absolutely no guarantee, made or implied, that any person or persons requesting to adopt a Springer Spaniel being fostered through Senior Spaniel Rescue, Inc, or posted on Senior Spaniel Rescue, Inc.’s web site, will be granted an adoption.

We thank you for contacting Senior Spaniel Rescue, Inc on behalf of the many senior Spaniels in need of new homes and those rescue groups providing them adoption assistance.

Dogs in foster care are carefully evaluated by our dedicated volunteers, and we ask many questions of prospective adopters so that we can make just the right match between dog and adopter. The information you supply will help us do that.

Questions regarding an application that has been already submitted should be directed to marys111@earthlink.net .

If you are not initially contacted within seven days, please email us.

SEX, COLOR & BREEDING PREFERENCES - We urge you not to lock yourself into a certain sex, color or look. Once neutered or spayed, the behavior of both males and females will equally make for a wonderful pet. What separates them most is their personality. Like people, they come with their own special souls. Receive your English Springer with an open heart and mind. There is one waiting to win your heart, we promise!

INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS - Please keep in mind that even though photos can be exchanged, you probably will not have an initial contact with the dog prior to adoption. You must heavily rely on information provided by the shelter where the dog is impounded, by the relinquishing owner, or the foster care home as to the rescue's health and temperament.

Would you consider an interstate adoption, and be willing pay the associated shipping costs which may be involved? The final decision about whether to ship a dog is made by that state's coordinator.
